The following is an excerpt from a letter on file from Vernier International re unauthorised distribution of their products in Australia.

"It has come to our attention that some companies continue to sell products carrying the Vernier brand even though they have never been or are no longer an authorised Vernier distributor. Since we do not know the source of these companies’ supplies, we have no way of knowing if they are selling true Vernier products or knock-offs. Therefore, products purchased outside of authorised channels are not covered by Vernier’s generous 5 year warranty.

Likewise, we have no way of knowing if the software they claim to be “Vernier” software is an authentic or an illegal copy. Only products purchased from authorised distributors of Vernier software titles come with a full school (or university department) site license and free upgrades. Use of software purchased from unauthorised sources may expose the user to legal liability, especially if the software is a pirate copy.

We regret any inconvenience that their actions may have caused. The safest course is to make sure you are purchasing product from Vernier’s sole authorised distributor for Australia:
