Professional Development
Scientrific supports schools and user organisations through a range of targeted professional development activities. The activities are provided in sessions based on school needs to ensure that maximum benefits are gained.
- Sessions are offered from a selection of “key experiments” that are typically performed by schools in the context of the Australian Curriculum: Science.
- Schools choose the experiments that best fit their program, equipment and interests.
- Normally a range of experiments is chosen across the subject areas.
- Two experiments per subject area per session are usually manageable.
- A mutually agreed time is arranged with the Field Officer and the school is responsible for setting up equipment. However, additional equipment may be supplied by the Field Officer if required.
Opportunities for Professional Development
- On-site by arrangement with schools
- Regional or Cluster Events organised by local organisations or schools
- State Conferences organised by State teachers and laboratory technicians associations
- National Conferences organised by National teachers and laboratory technicians associations.
