MINIATURE MODEL - GEOLOGICAL FAULTS AND FOLDS.
Made of semi-rigid foam this 4 piece model is used to demonstrate plate tectonics and changes in geological formations (faults/folds) due to earthquakes or other geological pressures.

Using the three sections with angled sides two common faults can be easily demonstrated:

     • Normal Fault: tectonic pulling forces applied to both sides of a strata cause the centre section to drop

     • Reverse Fault: tectonic pressing forces applied to both sides of a strata cause the centre section be displaced upwards

Using the longer section a Fold can be easily demonstrated with finger pressure applied to each side.

Supplied with an Instruction Sheet.
