IEC SLIDE WIRE POTENTIOMETER 1M LONG
The high quality IEC slide wire type potentiometer is a classic instrument for teaching electrics. It has a 1 metre long aluminium channel base to avoid the warping and cracking of wood, with a metric rule below the two lengths of Advance wire that does not change resistance with temperature.
The instrument comes complete with a Jockey for sliding along the graduated wire to search for the exact position that produces the precise voltage that balances a ‘bridge’ circuit. The straight wire that passes up then down the length of the bridge is 0.56mm diameter with a resistance of approximately 2 ohms/metre.
EM2451-001 is a shorter half metre version of this instrument.
