IEC THERMIONIC 6X4 DIODE TUBE ON BASE
The IEC Diode Thermionic Tube is a diode tube (or sometimes called an electron valve or electron tube) that rectifies. A heater inside the tube warms the cathode so electrons can emanate. The AC voltage is applied between the Anode (Plate) and the Cathode, but electrons can flow only one direction, therefore the AC is rectified into 'half wave' DC.

This diode has 2 x Anodes, so the circuit can be configured so that both halves of the AC sine wave can be rectified to produce 'full wave' rectification.

All connections are with 4mm spin free IEC terminals.
