IEC SIMPLE WHEEL AND AXLE PULLEY
The 'Wheel and Axle' is a simple pair of pulleys made from very strong 5ply timber and sealed against moisture. The pulleys have 150mm and 75mm diameters and are fixed together as one dual diameter pulley, with a central bearing so it can rotate freely on a strong 10mmD steel rod.

The mechanics of double pulleys and ratios can be studied by winding cords around each size pulley and using weights.
