Crookes Radiometer - All Glass
Order code: SC92057Crookes invented the Radiometer in 1873. The Radiometer has a rotor with four vanes which are dark on one side and light on the other. The glass bulb has a partial vacuum. The rotor spins when exposed to light. The vanes rotate faster as light intensity increases, providing a quantitative measurement of electromagnetic radiation intensity. The Radiometer also demonstrates energy conversion from light to heat and motion.
