Designed, manufactured and sold only by Scientrific. The Vacuum Free Fall Tube consists of a 900mm sealed acrylic tube with two objects in it: a paper apple and a metal washer. The tube is anti-static treated to stop any electrostatic attraction and unlike glass tubes it's virtually unbreakable.

When the tube is taken from the horizontal to the vertical you might expect the metal washer to fall faster but what happens if the tube is evacuated with a vacuum pump?

One end is removable (so that various objects can be inserted) and is fitted with a valve and brass hose-tail to accept 6mm I.D. hose. Closing the valve allows the disconnection of the vacuum pump so that the evacuated tube can be taken into a classroom of unsuspecting students.

With heavy rubber ends for protection.
