This is the best made Retort Clamp that we have seen. Made of die-cast alloy with tight tolerances on all pivot points to ensure that jaws close without fouling each other. The design incorporates a mechanical stop that prevents the jaws from being overtightened and possibly broken. Unlike some retort clamps there is a thickness of metal around the pivots to ensure that cracking/breaking does not occur. Very happy to recommend this product.
