IEC ELECTRICITY KIT AC THEORY UNIT
The IEC AC Theory Electricity Kit contains all the components necessary to perform a range of experiments for teaching AC electrical theory. The kit contains an accurate digital signal source so students can study the effects of frequency on impedance and resonance. This 10 volt peak to peak signal source can provide all the current required for the experiments and is effectively the complete power source.
Inductors are mounted in strong plastic bases and capacitors, resistors and switch are mounted in strong transparent plastic housings so that each is easily visible to help students recognise devices. The kit comes complete with a set of connecting cables with good quality 4mm banana plugs moulded to the cables. Two centre-zero meters are provided for dynamic study of current and voltages. The digital multi-meter provided is for both AC and DC volts and amps and includes capacitance measurement.
The relationship in time (lead and lag) between current flow and voltage can easily be demonstrated.
Supplied complete with instruction and experiment sheets and all components housed in sponge protection inside a strong carry case.

• 2 x Large inductors of approx. 2 Henry inductance. DC resistance approx. 8 Ohms.
• Large Capacitor approx 10,000uF, 10V, bi-polar (can accept AC voltage)
• 2 small AC Capacitors, 5uF+5uF, both in a single plastic housing.
• 25 Ohm Resistor, 550mA max, in plastic housing.
• 500 Ohm Resistor, 60mA max, in plastic housing.
• Single pole 2 way Switch in plastic housing.
• 300/0/300mA analogue Student Meter, centre zero.
• 10/0/10V DC analogue Student Meter, centre zero.
• Digital meter for ohms, capacitance and measurement of AC amps and AC volts.
• Set of 10 cables with 4mm stackable moulded banana plugs.
