Order code: PA0840-002IEC JOULE'S CALORIMETER INSERT WITH STIRRER AND ELEMENT
The insert consists of a black plastic calorimeter lid complete with stirrer and a 2 ohm resistance heating coil connected by metal rods to two 4mm banana plug sockets with spin free heads.
The insert can be placed into a standard calorimeter cup measuring 50mmDx75mmH to make a Joule's calorimeter.
When fitted to a calorimeter cup, a known weight of water is heated a measured number of degrees. The electrical energy required to do this can then be accurately determined.
The insert/stirrer/element is often used with the HL0830-001 insulating box and lid.
