Mini Tube Kit and Magnet for Induction and Resonance Experiments

Order code: SC1015
Purchase QTY: (Each) 1+
Scientrific's price   $60.00
Note: Prices do NOT include GST or freight

Designed and manufactured by and only available from Scientrific.

The kit consists of a 200mm long PVC tube and a 200mm long aluminium tube. The PVC tube's exterior has been painted so that both tubes appear to be made from aluminium. The aluminium tube is the correct size for optimal induced currents.

When a 22mm 'Super Magnet', like our SC4401SP, is released in the aluminium tube it takes 2 to 3 seconds for the magnet to 'float' down the tube! What do you think happens when the same magnet is released in the PVC tube?

Students have to explain why the magnet acts differently in the non-magnetic and apparently identical tubes.

Kit contains:
• A single sleeved 22mm super magnet
• 200mm aluminium tube
• 200mm plastic tube that looks like aluminium
