The Motion Encoder Cart and Receiver is for users of the DTS Vernier Dynamics Cart and Track System who want to add Motion Encoder capability. It includes a fully assembled DTS-CART-MEC Vernier Motion Encoder Cart as well as the MEC-BTD Vernier Motion Encoder Receiver and a METS-LONG Vernier Motion Encoder Long Track Strip.
The Motion Encoder Long Track Strip can be trimmed to fit the 1.2m dynamics track.

The Motion Encoder Transmitter requires two AAA batteries that are not included.
Requirements:
This sensor requires suitable software and an interface such as one of the Vernier LabQuest variations.

WARNING: The Motion Encoder Receiver is not compatible with the Texas Instruments TI-Nspire Lab Cradle. Connecting the Receiver to the Lab Cradle will render the Cradle inoperative, requiring repair by Texas Instruments.
