IEC MASS OF ELECTRON POWER SUPPLY
A special purpose power supply designed for use with the AP2120-001 IEC Mass of an Electron Apparatus. It is also a useful general purpose power supply when a preset constant current is required through a load up to a maximum of 2 amps and 25V DC.
Outputs:
• 250V DC at about 1mA for the anode connection of the Magic Eye tube
• 12V AC at about 1A for the tube's heater
• 25V DC adjustable and regulated current from 0.1A to 2A is applied to an EM0090-001 IEC Air Cored Solenoid placed over the magic eye tube of the AP2120-001 IEC Mass of Electron apparatus. The variable and regulated current allows the magnetic field in the Air Cored Solenoid to be varied.
The power supply has 4mm high voltage safety sockets (not compatible with standard banana plugs and so not compatible with older model AP2120-001 IEC Mass of Electron Apparatus) and standard sockets for the low voltage connections.
The analogue meter can be switched to monitor the constant current or the voltage supplied. A mains power switch turns the entire power supply on or off while a separate switch operates the 25V DC.
