IEC HODSON MOTOR KITS
The quality Australian designed and manufactured IEC Hodson Motor Kit includes 2 motors individually packed in sturdy plastic storage jars. Designed to teach electromagnetism and how electric motors work, the kits are simple to assemble with brushes and armatures easily made by forming the supplied wire.
The assembled motor is sturdy and can be handled and stored as a working unit or dismantled and used again.
The motor can run as either a DC motor from a D cell battery (not included) or as a synchronous AC motor from an AC power source LB2633-001 or similar. There is room for a battery to be stored in each kit.
Includes 2 motor kits with:
• Steel U shaped frame
• 2 half rotors that click together
• Axle shaft
• 2 magnets
• 2 plastic end plates
• Rubber rings to hold commutator wire loops in place
• Reel of red insulated wire
• Reel of black insulated wire
• Alligator clip to strip wires
• Elastic bands to hold motor together
• Student instruction card
• Sturdy plastic screwtop storage jar
