Vernier Pyranometer - Solar Power Meter
Order code: PYR-BTAVERNIER PYRANOMETER
Vernier's Pyranometer measures the power of electromagnetic radiation. It is sensitive to near infrared, visible and UV radiation, where 90% of solar energy is concentrated. It reads in watts per square metre so it is great for experiments with solar cells and calculating their efficiency. The dome-shaped top allows the Pyranometer to work with a wide range of sun angles.
The sensor is weatherproof and designed to be permanently mounted outside. The 6m cord means the black electronics box can be placed nearby where it should be kept dry.
Requirements:
This sensor requires suitable software and an interface such as one of the Vernier LabQuest variations or Vernier Go-Link.
For comprehensive details of the possible sensor/interface/software combinations see the Compatibility Guide link below.
