IEC WATER BATH
This simple general purpose stainless steel water bath is designed to rest on, and be heated by, an IEC Hot Plate or combination IEC Hot Plate Stirrer. The ends of the bath slide down to the work bench for stable support but also slide up to a small size for storage.

The hot plate becomes the water bath's temperature controller and a thermometer must be used to monitor the water temperature to keep it reasonably steady.

When choosing a hot plate be aware that 'Simmerstat' hot plate models are not limited to a maximum temperature and therefore will heat faster than 'Thermostat' models.

For more accurate or unattended work the CH4240-101 IEC Temperature Controller (purchased separately) can be fitted over the front or back edge of the bath and the hot plate plugged into the controller. The temperature controller cycles power on and off to the hot plate to maintain a water temperature accuracy of about 3C.

Several flasks or two CH3989-401 or CH3989-601 IEC non-floating test tube racks fit neatly inside the water bath.

The bath can be used also as a dry bath (sand, etc)
