IEC WAVE DEMONSTRATION SPRING SET
The IEC Wave Demonstration Spring Set is a pair of high quality, tempered and corrosion resistant springs used to clearly and simply demonstrate wave motion to your students.
The set consists of one long thin helical spring (approximately 20x1800mm) and one short slinky spring (approximately 70x100mm). Both springs can be stretched along a floor for approximately 10 metres.
Use these springs to investigate:
• Graphical representation and analysis of pulses and waves.
• Periodic waves, their amplitudes and periods.
• Wave reflections from fixed and moving ends.
• Transverse waves.
• Longitudinal waves.
• Standing waves.
Sold as a pair of springs, plus each spring can be purchased separately.
NOTE: If the springs are abused and stretched severely, they can become permanently strained and not return to their original shapes.
