IEC SAVART'S TONE WHEEL
The 'Savart's Tone Wheel' consists of 4 aluminium toothed discs mounted on a central shaft so that the set of four can be rotated with an electric drill or similar. Each disc has either 36, 45, 54 or 72 teeth which is a ratio of 4, 5, 6 and 8.

When a stiff card is placed firmly against any one of the toothed discs, an audible tone is produced. The combined sound of all 4 discs touching the stiff card is a natural musical chord.

The discs are 73mmD x 2mm with a centre spindle of 10mmD x 40mm.
