Q What are the blades made out of?
A The blades are made out of recycled plastic bottles. They are very efficient and don't require much breeze to light an LED.

Q What does the small board with the LEDs do?
A The Sound & Light Board demonstrates that the energy of the wind can be transformed into electrical energy, light and sound. When powered by the MINI turbine one of the LED lights will blink and the other one will stay lit. Additionally, a small sound chip in the board will play a tune.

Q Why would I want to make a wind farm of MINI Turbines?
A Creating a wind farm will allow you to explore series and parallel circuits. If you think of the turbines like batteries, you can wire them one way to increase voltage or wire them the opposite way to increase current. You can also see what happens when turbines shade each other and how downwind turbines are affected.

Q Will the MINI Wind Turbine run the Water Pump?

Q Will the MINI work outdoors?
A Yes.
